TARRAWANNA
Who doesn't love a good before and after?
This small space gives a massive punch, it creates privacy, biodiversity and has added value to this home in more way than one. Here's what we did;

COLEDALE
EIGHTH AVENUE
We recently completed this project in Eighth Ave. We are super happy with how it turned out! Features an EkoDeck, spotted gum screening, custom concrete BBQ a pergola and a built in bench seat with firewood storage.

DESIGN PINE PERGOLA
Here is a design pine pergola we just finished for some awesome clients. The majority of our pergolas these days are insulated with minimal timber.
We loved creating this, with a real attention to detail. It featured rendered columns, a blackbutt hardwood bench seat and sandstone capping.
RICHARD & HELGA
This job was still in progress at the time of these photos, however it's already looking great. We have Limestone pavers that seemlessly transition into a composite deck board made by EkoDeck. We sourced some beautiful blackbutt hardwood posts and handrails and also installed a stringy bark bar. We have some fixed louvres to the left and we will install a insulated pergola to the right of the frame. Supplied by versiclad.
DAVE & EMMAS
We recently completed Dave & Emmas place, in Dulwich Hill. This job was a fairly big under-taking. We were given some amazing custom made screens to work with which we placed around a fire pit which set the scene for the whole project.
The goal was to create several tiered sections as opposed to a sloping backyard.
We installed 150x150 tallow wood posts, a heap of blackbutt decking for steps and seats, french pattern travertine paving, sandstone block garden beds and capping and then the guys and girls from At Your Service came and planted out, mulched and laid the turf. 🌿

NOAH & DWANES
Noahs and Dwanes had it all! We installed decking, a heap of mixed hardwood screening to cover the colourbond fencing, a spa, recycled paver stairs plus a massive courtyard and veggie patch, plus an insulated pergola too! This job really was a blank canvas, we worked together with Noah and Dwane to design a space that they can use to entertain and raise a family!
We worked with Shane from Superior Frameless to install some glass balustrades as well as Ben and the crew from Hewitt Horticulture to get the gardens looking amazing, all setup with irrigation on timers.
G L E N C O E S T .
Glencoe Street.
Glencoe street was a great way to kick off 2020. We were working with Sharon to create an inner-city vibe in her courtyard located in the shire.
We used a mixture of hardwood, tiles, concrete recycled brick to give this small back yard a massive amount of character.
Sharon was open to our ideas and also had a heap of her own. We also painted the colourbond fence, replaced an old balustrade with some glass and installed some festoon lighting which looks awesome once the sun goes down.
TOM & JEN
We recently completed a job for Tom & Jen. They were at first, a little unsure of what they wanted, however they knew they wanted a new space they could entertain, cook and spend with family. We ended up removing an old pergola which allowed sunlight into the back of the house. We then proceeded to demo the exisiting bar and bathroom, turning it into an alfresco kitchen with pizza oven, custom cabinetry, concrete benchtops and blackbutt decking, combing with painting the brick ‘surfmist’. It really opened the space up and created a unique space.

HARDWOOD PLANTER BOX / GARDEN BED
Here's a little hardwood planterbox and bench seating we made earlier this year. Filled with fresh herbs, lavender and jasmine. Finished the timber with Organ oil. 🔨🌿
Mount Ousley
MT. Ousley
This space only measured 6m x 14m long. Another small space that feels twice the size by creating areas to eat, drink and relax. This yard features so many different materials, however it still seems to have a cohesive feel to it and not a random one. There's plenty of colour and variation which keeps things from being dull. The last thing we want to create is a one dimensional space, even though we are carpenters, we must admit, too much timber can be boring and be a pain to maintain.
Concrete planter box, recycled brick steps, sandstone day bed, hardwood screening and deck, spa, pergola, breakfast bar, feature lighting and a garden to set it all off! Wow 😓
OYSTER BAY
BEFORE & AFTER
This site was a real challenge. The client had an amazing house, however their backyard was over-grown and very steep making it unusable for years. The team from At Your Service had cleared the space so we had a blank canvas to work with. Together with the clients John and Veronique as well as Ben from At Your Service, we designed a deck that nestled in between 2 large rocks.
We used a composite timber so we could achieve some curves which would help the deck blend in to the natural setting and to keep maintenance to a minimum. We also added a sandstone fire pit for those winter nights.
To gain access to the deck, we made some sleeper steps using treated pine. We filled these boxes with crusher dust. This helped them blend in to the native gardens perfectly. We also added some glass balustrades and feature lights.
